Introducing Specialized Magi Classes!


These types of casters are quite different from your everyday Elemental Caster. They are known as "Specialists" and do not fall under Elemental Categories. Rather ALL their crystals are clear and they are unable to learn elemental or other spells from others, with the exception Alchemists, Synergists and Rune Magi (please read up on them for more info!). This also means that both their wings and their fox-fires are also white or clear. Most of these Magis are born with clear crystals, but it isn't until they begin to try to cast magics, that they find out just who they are. Because of this, childhood can sometimes be difficult for these Specialists.

Sometimes, though, a Kamitsune isn't born into a Specific Magi Type, opting later on in life to learn from a Master. When this happens, one by one, as they learn new spells for these Classes, their previous Elemental types/crystals change to clear as their original Element is replaced with the New Magi Class.

Every Student gains one (1) of their Master's crystals (plus an additional Magi spell from the new Crystal!) to signify with whom they are studying under, but all their original Elemental Crystals remain in their original shape, just clear. The only exception to this is Transmogirified Crystals. Those may remain in the same shape and colour that they were Transmog'd to.

The only spells they can learn beside from their own Specialized Class, are from the Specific Spells list, found here: fav.me/dau4rmz , and like always, Specific Spells take up a Spell slot.

These Classes are more rare for a Kamitsune to gravitate to, as they tend to require a different kind of mentality, skill and learning than a traditional Elemental Caster is used to, and finding proper Teachers for these Specializations is a little harder than standard Elemental Teachers.

Specialization Classes can be claimed at anytime, however once you have "Dedicated" yourself, you cannot change back, nor can you change to another Class, so make sure it's what you really want! <3 Underneath each Class, you will find information about Master Teachers, how many Student slots they'll allow for the time being, as well as slots for Independent Casters. Some Teachers may have requirements, though, which will be listed underneath each Teacher if they do.

Each Magi Class will also have the Master's Crystal, so you can see what they look like, and add them to your own Halos. Only 1 per Student.

Kamitsune Master Enchanter Crystal by Tsuzukikun


Enchanters cannot actually manifest or cast magics like their kin. Instead, they are able to imbue a variety of magic INTO other objects for others. Their powers are both a blessing and a curse. While they, themselves are unable to use these imbued items or cast magics, they are not limited to a single Element and are able to focus and channel ALL known and available Elements in order to create a variety of things like tokens and talismans. Only 1 spell can be imbued per 1 item, but these magical enhancements are permanent!

Enchanters were commonly commissioned by the Royal Army to imbue weaponry and armour with elemental effects and were more often than not highly revered. Some were even invited to live within the Palace so that their talents would be better utilized.

Enchanter's spells vary, with some Enchanters preferring to specialize in a given field, rather than elements. For example, where one Caster may have several spells of "Imbue object with ______ element", another may instead prefer to focus on Protection only, or Strength based magics, or even glamour. It's all up to the Enchanter, but their available pool of "Imbue" spells are still limited to how many tails and spell slots they have. While the Elements and Specific Spells** they can use are unlimited, if a Kamitsune only has 4 tails with only 4 spell slots, they can only cast Imbue Spells on 4 types of objects.

**Specific spells, if taken by an Enchanter, still take up one Spell slot as per usual, therefore reducing their Imbuing capacity.

What does this mean? Put simply, it's the type of object you can imbue. These range from clothing, to armour, to weaponry, to shields, and for the more mundane things, it is broken up into small, medium, or large objects. Each spell slot an Enchanter has must have a specific "Type" of object allotted to it. Master Enchanter:
Also known as the Royal Enchanter, Mistress Undine is a bubbly and quirky woman who is always ready to help out wherever she can. At 460 years old, she is relatively new to her position, having taken over from her own Master who recently retired, but she is just as skilled as her Master. She values all knowledge and is still striving to perfect and grow within her craft.

Kamitsune Master Alchemist Crystal by Tsuzukikun


Master of both magic and science, Alchemists have learned how to combine and bottle spells for later use. They pull from two sources: their own Elemental Spells, and written spells. Ancient Tomes of odd and old spells are the basis of their craft, to which they supplement with their own power to create brand new and unique, one time use spells, known as "Fusion Spells". These crafted powers are then bottled or stored in some capacity, though some of the more powerful and unstable spells may require a Binding Seal, or there may be risk of these Alchemical spells exploding before use.

A Binding Seal is unique to each Alchemist, and is a Specific Spell that is only available to Alchemists, meaning that if they wish to have a Binding Seal, they must use up one of their spell slots as per a typical Specific Spell. While this does decrease their normal Spells, it drastically improves their crafting skills, and significantly raises their value. People feel more inclined to buy an Alchemist's Fused Spells is there is a Binding Seal on them.

These mad scientists are both feared and revered. While their Fusion Spells are unique and amazing and powerful, it can sometimes take an Alchemist weeks, months or even years to perfect just one spell, during which time there is no shortage of.....interesting....happenings in and around their dwellings, though they try to keep the collateral damage and potential deaths to a minimum.

While their own pool of spells is limited to how many spell slots they have as per the Element they are born to, the range of spells they can fuse is nigh unlimited. It all depends on how many Tomes they get their hands on. The number tomes one has is determined by how old they are.

Juvenile (Age range: 0-49 years of age): 0 Tomes
Young Adult (Age range: 50-249 years of age): 1 Tome
Adult (Age range: 250-499 years of age): 2-5 tomes
Mystic (Age range 500+ years of age): Unlimted
Sage: (Age range 700+ years of age): Unlimited

Alchemists, unlike some of the other Specialization Classes, are still born to a Main Element, however, they cannot learn a new one from anyone else.

Master Alchemist:
Miss Feylara is an eccentric Mystic (550 years old) who is well known for not being the most sane of individuals. She is the epitome of Mad Scientist, living in her lab with her many, many machines and old, thick, dusty Tomes, most of which she can't even remember having, let alone where she got them. By far though, she has the largest collection of Tomes outside of the Palace.

She is prone to being forgetful, and monologues with the best of them, though she has a habit of running off on a million tangents before getting to her point. Despite all that, she is very skilled at her job, and is absolutely ecstatic whenever someone comes to pay her a visit, or even better, wishes to learn from her.

Requirements to be her Student:
~Must have a willingness to try new and unconventional methods of learning
~Outside of the box thinking and a touch of lunacy is not necessary, but certainly helps

A Summon can not only summon Elemental Creatures, but really, any creature that they know of. This includes the vast array of planar creatures and your regular every day run of the mill creatures/animals like rabbits, cats, etc. It does not work on humans or other Kamitsune, however.

The number of creatures one is able to summon is subject to how many "Summoner" Crystals you have. IE Spell slots that aren't taken up by Specific Spells. Instead of Elemental slots, their spell slots are turned into Summoner Crystals. For each Summoner Crystal Slot you have, you must specify the type of creature you can summon. For example, if you have 4 Summoner Crystals available, you can summon 4 different types of creatures. Each particular creature summoned does not necessarily HAVE to be the same one each time, it is simply a creature from that type. You can choose whether or not it's the same one each time, but doing this forms a stronger bond between creature and summoner, and the creature is more likely to do more for you.

Only 1 of each type can be summoned at a time, however, if you have 4 different types, you can summon 1 from ALL four if you desire. This does put a strain on one's power though, so be careful!

Summoners can earn new crystals only from other Summoners. Whether it is a brand new Creature Type, or another slot in one you already have, allowing you to summon additional creatures from the same type, Summoners find this method of learning far easier than trying to learn from another Magi, as the conversion of those crystals can be unpredictable when it comes to what Creature Type comes from it.

Master Summoners:
Unlike most of the other Specialized Magi Classes, the Summoner Class has more than 1 Master Caster. Master Korrinn believes that the more Master Teachers there are, the better, and more, the students will learn. As such, he's worked hard to elevate his wife and two eldest children to Master Level, allowing students a much broader range of summons they can learn at a quicker rate. Korrinn believes in hard work and dedication, as well as a love of life and the lives of those that are summoned. He is a kind, though very firm man who's discipline can often be tough for some. His wife, Eylara, follows much of the same ideologies as her husband, but is much gentler with her teachings as she values the bond and relationship between Summoner and summoned most. Their eldest son, Marrin is a gentle soul, very much like his mother in teachings, while their eldest daughter, Thay'ra seems to favour her father's methods.

Requirements to be his Student:
None, though don't ever abuse your Summons. If you are caught by anyone in this family, you will be severely punished and banned from further lessons indefinitely.

Kamitsune Master Synergist Crystal by Tsuzukikun


Synergists learn to harmonize two or more types of Elements, combining them together to create something entirely new and unique only to them in a brand new spell. Where as Kamitsune who learn more than one type of Element can still learn to harness multiple Elements, casting them in succession, Synergists develop the talent to cast a wide variety Elements at the same time, in one spell. They are born with the affinity of all Elements, however they are still born to a Main Element. As they grow, train and gain new tails, unlike their standard kin who gain a new spell in the same Main Element, and rather than finding a teacher to learn a new Element from, the new tails they earn instead are each of a brand new element entirely. For example, a Kamitsune Synergist with 5 tails has, and can cast from, 5 elements, one for each tail. It is from these elements that they learn to combine and cast their magics. Their spell slots are still limited by how many tails and crystals they have, but their usage and mixing of the Elements is far greater than normal.

As a Synergist ages, you get to decide what element each new Tail gains!

They are still capable of learning from Teachers and earning new crystals, but instead of granting new Elements, they instead simply gain new spell slots for the Elements they already have.

Master Synergist:
This elderly Master, Lady Moira, is, at first glance, a kindly old woman who loves pastries, but don't let that fool you. As a teacher, she is as tough as nails and a harsh as winter. A Synergist requires immense mental clarity and strict devotion in order to wield and combine more than one element together. Failure to control one's self and one's powers as a Synergist can result in catastrophic disaster and damage. As such, Lady Moira puts her students through the most rigorous of training in order to prepare them mentally and physically. Her teachings are not for the feint of heart! Though after lessons she is always ready with tea and cakes for those who are still able to stand!

Requirements to be her Student:
~Dedication and a healthy respect for the Elements are a must, as well as a good dose of respect for both her and the Elements.
~Discipline. Anyone who fools around in her classes is quickly and permanently removed.

Kamitsune Master Oracle Crystal by Tsuzukikun


Seers, diviners of the future, these Magi are extremely sought after by the Royals. Oracles are greatly respected and highly revered, often asked to live within the Palace should their talents prove to be true!

Oracles do not learn multitudes of spells like the rest of their kin, instead, their abilities only get stronger as they age and gain more tails. During their lifetime, while most of their abilities can be harnessed for use at their leisure, it isn't uncommon for even a Mystic Oracle to still fall victim to sudden random visions and premonitions. Some are more prone to frequent visions rather than being able to read the future at will, while others are able to master themselves and only call upon their talents when needed. The biggest drawback to Oracles is that there are so few, that it can be sometimes difficult to find a True Master to Teach the young Seers. As such, a great number of potential Oracles are left to teach themselves through less than ideal circumstances, and their full potential is rarely reached unless it becomes known to the Palace that a new Seer has been found.

As a juvenile, they can only see minutes, or maybe a few hours into the future at best, and must be touching a person if they are to read for them. As they train and learn to harness their powers, these abilities increase. As a young adult, they can see a few days into the future and need an item from the person to read, no longer needing to actually touch a person. They simply need to have them in front of themselves. Oracles who become Mystics simply only need to concentrate on a specific person so long as they have met at least once, and do not need them near.

There is a bit of a war within themselves, however. Knowing the future can tempt one to change events, but this is extremely risky as not only will it change the outcome of these events, but it can drastically alter timelines and have repercussions throughout time and the world. This is known as the Butterfly Effect, and not even Oracles can correctly foresee what may happen should a major event be changed.

Seeing too far into the future can have consequences on the Oracle, as it is a mentally taxing power. Some are driven mad, or blind, or both. Those who cannot whether the test of time with their abilities have been known to either experience a complete mental burn out, or they leave the city altogether, preferring to live as hermits away from people and circumstances that may trigger their powers.

Master Oracle:
The current Master Seer is a male by the name of Darr'eth. He is a Mystic (635 year old) who has long since gone blind because of his "gifts". Don't be fooled though, this man sees everything, and is quick to smack the hands that try to mock him. Most people would call him crotchety, because, well, he is. He doesn't much care for the "new age junk" (his words), and prefers to spend his time in his little sanctuary that's been built for him just outside the Palace.

Rarely does he take on students, unless at the bidding of the Royal Couple, and having him as a teacher is anything but easy.

Requirements to become his Student:
~Must be at least 300 years old (he doesn't like to deal with the "whelps")
~Cannot at any point take any Telepathy Spells. He feels like Telepathy is cheating, and his mind his is sacred place.

Rather than using up Spell Slots and learning new magics the traditional way, Rune Magis opt for the quick and easy method of branding themselves with magical Rune/Elemental tattoos that have spells permanently attached to them. Each Brand is carefully, though painfully, magically "burned" or tattooed onto their body, giving them a much wider range of spells they can use. These Runes, or Glyphs can be of any Element they choose, even Specific Spells. It does not have to be of their Main Element, however they are not nearly as powerful as if they had earned that spell through training. This does not mean they are weak, quite the opposite. Rune Magis, while not a Master of one, they are instead skilled in many Elements, and are very adept at using their Runes in rapid succession to create massive, combined attacks. They are still born to a main Element, and can still learn Elemental Spells as per normal. They can still opt to learn other Elements from others, however, they tend to find it tedious, hence opting for this method instead.

Because of their skills, these Magis are more often than recruited into the Royal Army, serving as Noble Warriors. But they must be wary. Too many runes and overuse could potentially cause Magical Burnout, rendering them completely incapable of using ANY magics, even their birth Element!

Rune Casters, because they are also unique from any other caster, do cost money. These are magically imbued tattoos, and this is to prevent someone from simply going nuts with runic tattoos and being too powerful. Thank you for your understanding and respect in this aspect! <3
